This thought crossed my mind while I was reading the Sommers' piece but I didn't follow up. Does anyone disagree that focusing on writing as a process conflates writing with speech and somehow omits or minimizes revision because speech can't be revised? It's a fascinating idea.
This isn't really a question, but I'm curious to hear from people about personal experiences they consider to be assimilatory.
