The Naming What We Know excerpts touched base on a plethora of rhetorical information such as the rhetorical situation, prior knowledge, genre, audience, multimodality, etc. What concept were you in most agreement with/what did you enjoy about it? And on the other side, what were in most disagreement with/confused about?
2. This week's theme seems to revolve heavily around genre. In Part IV of the Teacher's Guide, we see an introduction into the 2135 class, which focuses on genre. How would you initially introduce genre to the class as a term and which strand would you see yourself aligning with in your classroom?
